Scrappy Scraps of Scrapped Maps

The Scrapyard
This is a collection of maps that I made that have gone uncompleted for one reason or another. Sometimes they're scrapped out right, others died from lack of love, some I don't have the time to work on, and yet others I became bored with.

I'll try to have these available for download (usually with source). Perhaps you can make use of them or get inspired by them. All I ask is that you credit me should something come out of it, and that any bits used from these maps is not used comercially.

It all started with an SP chainmap named 00rt. 00rt had elevan people working on it, which was part of it's failure, as somewhere along the way someone didn't send the map to the next person, resulting in death. Of course people wanted to try again, so discussion of 00rt 2 began. But 00rt 2 never even made it to the editor, dying while everyone argued about what texture set to use. Out of the ashes of 00rt 2 came Am-Besek. Am-Besek would be a chainmap on a smaller scale; two maps, each roughly divided in half with two persons per map, using the texture set Tiddles put togethor for his famous map series.

To make a long story somewhat shorter, I made my half while everyone else sat on their thumbs. I asked Grahf if he wanted to finish the map and he said he did, but to go ahead and upload the map here. So here it is.

When I got out this map to take some screenshots for this page, I was struck by it's quality and considered finishing it myself. It certainly would be easy, as half the map is done, and it is a very attractive thing. But I realised that I simply don't have the time right now. Maybe someone else will finish it.

The .zip contains the .wad, .bsp, and .map. Download here.
